#3 - THE ENERGY CRISIS : WHAT CHANGES FOR COMPETITION LAW ACROSS THE EU ?
June 15Wednesday 15 June 2022 15:30 - 17:00 CEST
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to higher gas prices. In this context, the European Competition Network argued that it would not actively intervene against strictly necessary and temporary business cooperation measures that are targeted to avoid serious disruption caused by the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine or the sanctions that were imposed in response. Thus, it appears that cooperation between companies to address the risk of serious disruption is considered to be permissible conduct under competition law. What impact will such practices have on the exercise of competition law and its procedures ?
